SAFE HAVEN #nomorebulliesemporia

Safe Haven was born in June of 2016. The program was developed after listening to many children, mothers, and fathers, speak about an overwhelming feeling not being heard in regards to the bullying situations within our community.

Where there is hatred, may we bring love.

Where there is sadness, may we bring joy.

Only with the entire support of the community will this program thrive. This is a preventative program which addresses the issues from the mentors helping and guiding the bullies to allies helping the children being bullied.

Take a stand

Lend a hand

Make some noise

For a voice unheard

This free program will be the newest contribution from the Team Hope World Foundation. I wish that it motivates people to do something for our children to what ever degree. If this program helps one child, it is a success.

Empowerment through movement.

Safe Haven Martial Arts Programs are held MWF and as needed with Mentor & Trainer, Luis Tapia.  Luis is a third degree black belt in the field.

Benefits of Martial Arts are: control of aggressive behavior & misplaced anger, gain of self-respect, self-control, self-defense, self esteem, focus, confidence, and courtesy.  As an additional benefit, the child will also excel in other

athletic endeavors.  Martial arts training gives kids the chance to strengthen in mind as well as body.  It encompasses not just the physical aspect of the "sport",   but mental and emotional lessons as well.
